Tamnoon, which is developing a managed cloud security remediation platform, announced on Wednesday that it has raised $12 million in Series A funding. The round was led by cybersecurity investment firm Bright Pixel Capital (formerly known as Sonae IM), with participation from new investors Blu Ventures and Mindset Ventures. In addition to existing investors Merlin Ventures, Secret Chord Ventures, Inner Loop Capital and Elron Ventures.
Tamannaah has developed a hybrid human-AI managed service specifically to address cloud security. Its platform reduces cloud exposure and enhances cloud security by improving prioritization, triage, remediation and prevention processes for both pre-deployment and post-deployment, contributing to a more robust and mature Continuous Threat Exposure Management (CTEM) program.
Tammonon was founded in 2022 by Marina Segal (CEO), Idan Peres (CTO), and Zohar Alon (Chairman of the Board of Directors). The three were members of Dome9 Security, which was sold to Check Point in 2018. The company currently employs 20 people split between Israel and the United States.
This new investment brings Tamnoon's total funding to more than $18 million, just under a year after completing its seed round led by Merlin Ventures and Secret Chord Ventures. Since then, it has more than doubled its client base and now serves organizations in various industries across North America, including insurance, entertainment, healthcare, retail and professional services. Tamnoon integrates with all leading CNAPP/CSPM cloud solutions including Wiz, Orca Security, AWS Security Hub, Check Point CloudGuard, Palo Alto Networks Prisma Cloud, CrowdStrike, Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Google Cloud Security Command Center, and Oracle Cloud Guard.
“Neither fully automated nor human-driven cloud remediation approaches alone can address the complexity of cloud security posture management software. The idea of relying entirely on automation for remediation is not feasible. Applying this “Programming in critical production environments without human oversight is too risky.” “Tamnoon” combines powerful AI technology specifically designed for cloud processing, with the guidance of cloud security experts, to securely reduce exposure to critical threats to near zero within months. “One of the biggest challenges in adopting security technologies is the lack of teams and resources to manage them effectively,” noted Shay Michel, Managing Partner at Merlin Ventures. “Tamkeen” enables companies to scale quickly, allowing entrepreneurs and R&D teams to easily decide which technologies to adopt. At what scale will they grow?
