COLUMBIA, Md., Aug. 13, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Tenable®, the risk management company, today announced the appointment of Shay Morag as Chief Product Officer. Morag will focus on driving momentum and expansion across Tenable’s entire portfolio, and driving the company’s next era of growth by building security products for a cloud-first world.
Morag joined Tenable in 2023 through the acquisition of Ermetic, an innovative Cloud Application Protection Platform (CNAPP) company, where he served as CEO and co-founder. Since then, he has led efforts to expand and enhance Tenable Cloud Security, enabling security teams to reduce risk by rapidly detecting and closing priority security vulnerabilities caused by misconfigurations, dangerous rights, and security vulnerabilities in a single, robust CNAPP platform.

Morag has over 25 years of experience in product management, technology leadership and senior executives. Prior to joining Ermetic, he served as co-founder and CEO of Secdo, a cybersecurity company, where he led the company from its inception until its successful acquisition by Palo Alto Networks. Morag was also CEO of Integrity-Project, a connectivity, networking and security solutions company, which was acquired by Mellanox. He also served for 10 years as an officer in the Israel Defense Forces Intelligence Corps’ Unit 8200.
