Rapid7 announced the expansion of its Managed Extended Detection and Response (MXDR) service to include Microsoft security telemetry coverage.
The enhanced MXDR service now provides continuous threat detection, investigation, and response across key Microsoft security tools. This service is designed to integrate Microsoft's existing telemetry with Rapid7's command platform, enabling more comprehensive and rapid threat detection and remediation by Rapid7's Security Operations Center (SOC). This integration does not require additional infrastructure or complex integrations.
Microsoft tools have a significant place within many organizations' technology stacks, accounting for more than 25% of the endpoint security market, according to IDC data. With the expanded MXDR service, Rapid7 addresses the need for a fully integrated SOC service that includes Microsoft security tools along with visibility across endpoints, cloud providers, identity and access management, and network security solutions.
“With Rapid7 MXDR support for Microsoft, organizations of all sizes can now benefit from the best of both worlds: familiarity and depth of their Microsoft environment and advanced detection, correlation, automation and monitoring,” commented Craig Adams, Chief Product Officer at Rapid7. of Rapid7.”
He also added: “This helps security teams achieve comprehensive 24/7 Microsoft coverage across their suite of tools – a key part of enabling them to manage, prioritize and respond to risks across the entire attack surface.”
Rapid7 MXDR ensures comprehensive threat visibility by integrating data from original Rapid7 sources and existing Microsoft telemetry. This capability removes blind spots and facilitates rapid response across the digital ecosystem. The service also speeds up response times; Through Rapid7's SOC, threats can be quickly remedied within the Microsoft environment, thus reducing detection and remediation times and mitigating potential operational, financial, or reputational impacts.
Additionally, Microsoft MXDR support allows organizations to customize their protection strategies. It enables seamless layers of Rapid7's advanced detection capabilities plus Microsoft telemetry, crafting a flexible security solution tailored to meet individual organizational needs.
