New certifications for data protection, data sharing, and cloud-based security provide peace of mind when using mobile forms to capture and communicate data to get work done
BOSTON, May 30, 2024–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Quickbase, the software application platform for dynamic work management, today announced a new set of cloud and data security certifications for its FastField mobile forms solution. These certifications exceed the highest data protection standards, providing peace of mind for organizations in construction, manufacturing and other industries looking to leverage FastField's mobile capabilities to seamlessly capture data and create real-time models and insights from the field.
“For workers in the field or in the shop, relying on paper forms or manually entered data is too time-consuming to keep up with the dynamic nature of their work,” said Jeff Stay, vice president of product development at Quickbase. . “This is where connected mobile models can be so powerful, able to capture real-time data about a location or work environment and share it for maximum impact. The last thing they need to think about is whether their data is safe, and here's why FastField's dedication to security and compliance is the cornerstone of our promise to our customers, ensuring that every customer can trust the security of their data with unwavering confidence.
FastField's new security certifications include:
SOC2 Type II Certification – This certification focuses on FastField's controls related to security, availability, and confidentiality, and reflects a rigorous evaluation of security measures such as encryption and access controls to protect the integrity and confidentiality of sensitive data, as conducted by independent auditors to assess compliance with the Trust Services Standards (TSC) Developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).
HIPAA Security Rule Certification – The SOC2 Type II report also includes confirmation that FastField complies with the HIPAA Security Rule to put in place the necessary administrative, physical, and technical safeguards to protect electronic protected health information (ePHI); However, FastField customers are responsible for complying with the HIPAA Privacy Rule.
Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) STAR Level 1 – The Cloud Security Alliance (CSA) Cloud Controls Matrix identifies the controls and requirements needed to mitigate risks associated with cloud-based technology; With the Level 1 achievement, FastField provides customers with greater peace of mind that their data is being stored and processed, placing it on the CSA's Security, Trust, Assurance and Risk (STAR) Registry.
The story continues
It's worth noting that Quickbase became a Tier 2 provider on the CSA STAR registry for its platform in August 2023, making it one of a select group of no-code technology providers to reach this level of certification.
