Exposure management company Tenable Holdings announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Eureka Security, a data security posture management (DSPM) provider for cloud environments. Eureka Security helps security teams gain a comprehensive view of an organization's cloud data security footprint, combat policy drift and misconfigurations that put data at risk, and improve their security posture over time. The acquisition is expected to close this month.
By bringing DSPM capabilities to its CNAPP solution, Tenable will help customers identify key clues related to cloud data risks, including where sensitive data resides in the cloud, who has access to that data and how serious the risk is posed by a potential data breach. This is key to an organization's ability to accurately assess its cloud security compliance.
The DSPM integration will complement Tenable Cloud Security's existing solution, which already includes key capabilities such as unified CNAPP, iron-clad CSPM protection, cloud workload protection, industry-leading CIEM, and others. This will provide security teams with context and priority guidance to make effective and accurate remediation decisions.
Eureka Security DSPM capabilities are expected to be integrated natively into Tenable Cloud Security and its CNAPP solution later this year. The acquisition is not expected to have a material impact on revenues this year.
