Microsoft withdrawn November 2024 Security exchange Updates released earlier this month for Patch Tuesday Due to broken email delivery.
This decision came after reports from officials that email had stopped flowing completely.
This issue affects Microsoft Exchange clients that use transport rules, mail flow rules, and data loss protection rules. Mail flow rules filter and forward emails in transit, while data loss protection rules ensure that sensitive information is not shared via email to an outside organization.
According to Microsoft, some customers found that mail flow rules periodically stopped after installing the update. It now advises administrators who notice this issue to completely uninstall the November security updates until they are re-released.
He added: “We are continuing to investigate and are working on a permanent solution to address this issue.” Microsoft mentioned in the update Regarding this issue. “We will release it when it is ready. We have also paused the rollout of the November 2024 SU on Windows/Microsoft Update. Customers who may not be using transport or DLP rules and did not experience the rules issue can continue to use the November SU update.”
