Google to acquire the cloud security company Wiz
Google has announced that she will get a Cloud Security Startup Wiz. If completed, the acquisition-a deal from all over the publication of $ 32 billion-is the largest of which is in Google's history. The deal is pending organizational approval and the conditions of the usual closure.
Once the deal is closed, Google plans to integrate Wiz into Google Cloud to enhance its efforts in two main spaces. “This acquisition is an investment by Google Cloud to accelerate two large and increasing trends in the era of artificial intelligence: the good cloud safety and the ability to use multiple (multiple black) clouds,” Google wrote in the news ad.
Google said Wiz will improve its cloud services in the following ways:
Automation of security operations to reduce manual intervention. Low safety costs for companies of all sizes. Promoting the prevention of breach and response in cloud environments. Encouraging multiple blacks and improving flexibility for institutions.
Wiz has rapidly grown in the field of cloud safety mode (CSPM) and the area of cloud original applications (CNAP) since its appearance in 2020. Its solutions have been widely used by companies such as ASBMW, Salesforce and Slack. Google followed the company for some time and offered 23 billion dollars to obtain the company last July – a rejected offer.
Google said the acquisition will allow Wiz to expand technology while continuing to work independently across the main cloud. Wiz said this step will help the company increase technology growth.
“We expect this change to enable us to implement and innovate faster,” said Assaf Rapaport, CEO of Wiz. “To become a part of Google Cloud, it effectively connects a missile for our appearance: the innovation rate will accelerate faster than we can achieve as a stand -alone company.”
“Google Cloud and WIZ participate in a common vision to make cybersecurity easier and simpler to use institutions of any size and industry,” said Thomas Corian, CEO of Google Cloud. “Empowering more companies to prevent cyber attacks, including in very complex business programs, will help institutions reduce cost, disruption and troubles caused by cyber security accidents.”
