press release
AMSTERDAM, Feb. 6, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — CISCO LIVE EMEA — Cisco (NASDAQ: cisco), a leader in networking and security, today introduces new capabilities and technologies across its networking portfolio that are designed to drive a more unified and integrated approach to managing and securing customer networks.
IT organizations are looking to their technology providers to help address three core priorities in their network operations: security, automation, and a unified digital experience for end users, things, and applications. As these same companies look to deploy AI-powered technologies, the need to have a deep understanding of the end-to-end experience has increased.
“The future of AI depends on the network, and the future of the network depends on AI,” said Jonathan Davidson, executive vice president and general manager of Cisco Networking. “With Cisco Networking Cloud, the data set that fuels this AI comes from more than a billion endpoints. No other networking vendor has more or better intelligence to simplify and secure network operations at any scale for a better user experience.”
Secure networks
Users need a secure network solution that provides a shared view across their entire network, and a scalable way to enforce security policies everywhere, without compromising an optimized, always-available user experience. To meet the needs of its users, Cisco is introducing new Cisco Networking Cloud innovations:
new Integration with Cisco Secure Access: Highlighting Cisco's commitment to providing customers with the tools to bring networking and security teams closer together, Cisco is offering deeper integrations between the Cisco Networking and Security Cloud platforms. Together with Cisco Secure Access and Cisco Secure Services Edge (SSE), these innovations provide a unified approach to network management, security, and automated monitoring of the digital experience, providing insights from network, device, and application performance metrics. These integrations are available today with Cisco Catalyst SD-WAN and ThousandEyes.
Enhanced reporting on the security posture of OT assets: Industrial organizations can now leverage the Security Posture Report to get comprehensive details on OT asset inventories, top vulnerabilities, and top cyber risks to help reduce the attack surface. These features are included with Cisco Cyber Vision and are available as part of industrial routers, switches, and firewalls.
Simplified operations
To illustrate how Cisco continues to converge its management platforms and work toward a unified wallet experience, Cisco offers the following:
Catalyst Wireless Cloud Monitoring: It was first introduced as the ability to switch the catalyst, Customers can now view and manage selected Catalyst wireless devices in the Meraki dashboard. This new capability gives Cisco customers a complete cloud-managed view of their access networks. Catalyst Wireless Cloud Monitoring supports Catalyst 9800 wireless controllers and most Catalyst Wi-Fi 5 Wave 2, Wi-Fi 6, and Wi-Fi 6E access points.
Catalyst 9300-M cloud managed switch models: Cisco continues its journey toward a single, unified hardware architecture with the new Catalyst 9300-M switches that will be managed on-premises from the Meraki dashboard. This is the first step in the evolution toward full cloud management of the Catalyst switch portfolio.
Developing artificial intelligence with scalable infrastructure

Cisco UCS X-Series Direct: An extension of Cisco's industry-leading, award-winning UCS X-Series Modular System, the new Cisco X-Series Direct is designed for environments where customers need connectivity and compute power at the edge to support more applications with less infrastructure.
Certified Cisco AI designs: Cisco is expanding its offerings of proven converged and hyperconverged architectures that address and leverage new use cases Recently announced by Cisco Validated Solutions And AI/ML Schema For data center networks.
